Bought in Moscow as a Vintage Piece in Mid 80s

20th Century Russian Orthodox Icons\ : Moscow

Bought in Moscow in the mid 80s - Listed as Metalware because I am not sure of the Silver content and exact age - The tradition started in the early Orthodox years where the hand painted icons started to be covered with Silver or Copper material giving an unique figure. 

Attached on a selected timber frame with the painted parts of the icon painted by hand. Has not been cleaned since bought and has a rustic look to it.
