Rorke's Drift large pottery vase. The Evangelical Lutheran Centre was where, in the 1960's,missionaries taught pottery, rug and print making. The world famous artists Azaria Mbatha and John Muafangejo started their careers here. This vase was crafted by acclaimed Potter, Dinah Molefe, whose work was exhibited locally and internationally,and who passed away in 1983.Lightly speckled oatmeal body covered with repeat stylised leaf and criss cross pattern in chocolate and gunmetal grey. Measures 160mm high. Signed to base with leaf mark, D. Molefe and serial number. In very good condition.
