These fibre coins were minted from the original dies and were used to teach schoolchildren about money back in the 1930s and 1940s.
The bronze 1936 farthing is an extreme rarity in any condition, with only 43 minted. The mintage figures for the fibre coins are not known, but they are also very small.
This is the only 1936 fibre 1/4 penny that I have ever seen.
