One owner: I personally acquired these notes still sealed in a pack at Absa bank 1999.
I am taking a huge risk at starting this action at R1.
Someone could get a rare collectible for a steal.
The R200 notes from 1999 that were recalled and withdrawn from circulation in May 2010 are indeed a rare and fascinating part of SA currency history. The fact that they were recalled makes them an unusual collectors item, and those found especially in pristine condition and in sequential order, are highly sought after by collectors and numismatists.
The realistic market value is between R25 - R30K.
Sequential notes that come in a set of consecutive serial numbers hold even more value, as they are considered very rare. Their extremely limited availability on the open market increase it's desirability tremendously. If you have a set of 10 such notes, that would be an especially valuable piece of your numismatic collection!
Your bid is for all 10 notes. Good Luck!
Reasonable offers will be considered.
