 SCARCE FIBRE South Africa Union  1930 3D/Tickey

The Fibre Coin series were struck for use in schools to teach the scholars the use of money.The coins were struck onto a fibre material and accordingly coloured to  replicate silver ,bronze and gold coins. Apparently the bronze and silver coins were struck with the genuine dies most likely at the Pretoria Mint.
