The Cape of Good Hope General Service Medal is one 1 of only 23 Medals with all three Clasps: Transkei, Basutoland & Bechuanaland. The Medal was Instituted by the Cape Government, The Medal Acknowledged service in putting down the Transkei in (1880 - 1881) & Bechuanaland in (1896 - 1897) as well as well as dealing with the unrest that erupted in Basutoland. Awarded to Local Forces and Volunteer Regiments.
