VINTAGE 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING WITH EMERALD CUT GARNET FLANKED BY OVAL CUT FIRE OPALS. ASTONISHING GORGEOUS COLOURS!
This vintage piece has startling strong colours - a combination of a central 2,3 carat emerald-faceted garnet in a rich wine colour, flanked by 2 x oval-faceted fire opals in a glowing burnt orange. The gemstones are claw set in 9ct yellow gold and have an interesting double claw feature on the corners. The shank is a simple thickish band which supports the 9mm long x 14mm wide ring head, which is raised 5mm above the finger. I obtained the piece from a vintage dealer in London; the piece bears the Birmingham assay mark, the jeweller's signature, the date 2005, and 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold. The piece weighs a solid 3,39 grams and sits snugly on the finger.
