Dimensions: 31cm x 23.5cm x 2cm, hardcover with d/j. Book in good condition with slight rubbing to top and bottom of spine and clean inside. Second printing published 1973 with 260 pages and illustrated with 16 colour and 400 b/w illustrations. Text by Alistair Graham and photography by Peter Beard. The d/j is in poor condition. Now covered with removable plastic film. D/j price clipped. Gift inscription on first titlepage presumably by author. The book documents the crocodile's influence on the native people of Africa as reflected in their myths and everyday lives. Also the impact of the native population and hunters and developers on the crocodile's existence. Postage in RSA = R58.00
