An original seascape oil on canvas by Italian artist F. Scarpa, of a scene titled "Camogli, Genova", date unclear (early 20th century)

Please note: the painting is unframed and consists of the canvas only with the original loose hessian backing, upon which is written in chalk: "N56, F. Scarpa, La Trama, Camogli, Genova"

Condition: the painting is in good condition for its age, the colours retaining much of their original effect, but it has fine, hairline cracks, normal for a painting of this age. It will need a certain amount of restoration to bring back its former glory. No information found on this artist currently, although some years ago a few works by him were listed, and sold in Europe.
