I love this solid piece of gold and gemstone jewellery as it takes one of the most delicately coloured gems and presents it in a thoroughly clean and modern design. I rather like that contrast. Tanzanite is a beautiful natural gemstone that has become one of the most popular stones in jewellery. It ranges in colour from soft mauve and lilac through to deep violet and blue. This gorgeous ring is from the midlands of England (hallmarked Birmingham Assay Office). It is made out of white gold (hallmarked 375 for British 9 carat gold) and features 0,33 carats of natural brilliant cut tanzanites. At just short of 5 grams, it is a solid piece of gold jewellery! It is hallmarked for the year 2004.
