Labradorite is one of the most unusual gemstones you can use in jewellery. This piece has a teardrop stone set in a broad band of silver (17 mm at its broadest point) that twists around from broad to thin in a swirl. It has been made for a size 8 and the silver touches around the finger all the way. However, being open at the part that touches the"head", it could accommodate a slightly larger finger size.

The Labradorite is also called a "spectrolight" on account of the extraordinary light it demonstrates when struck by a light source. Depending on which way you twist the stone, it has quite different colours and a metallic quality to its shine.The effect of these reflections is called labradorescence. Spiritually, labradorite is a very positive stone, used for clarity of thought and direction.
