FABULOUS OLD VINTAGE 1950S TWO HANDLED WOODEN SEWING / NEEDLEPOINT BOX WITH REMOVABLE INNER TRAY.
SUCH A LOVELY OLD PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN BOX MADE BY JOYWOOD, DURBAN WHICH WOULD BE EQUALLY GREAT FOR JEWELERY OR STORAGE.
THIS SEWING BOX IS HANDMADE WITH PEG AND MORTISE AND TENON JOINTS VISIBLE (The mortise is the hole that is cut into a board and the tenon or tongue is the piece that is shaped to fit into the mortise like a square peg going into a square hole.)
SIZE: 43CM WIDE X 33CM DEEP x 13CM HIGH
CONDITION: HINGES AND CLASPS IN TACT. SOME DAMAGE TO ONE CORNER AND UNDERSIDE. STIL IN FAIR VINTAGE CONDITION.
