Fabulous Sterling Silver 'George III' Salver (1818)
This fine quality, impressive, Georgian solid silver salver was manufactured 207 years ago, in Sheffield, England in 1818 by silversmiths 'S.C. Younge & Co.' (S.C.Y&C). It has a lovely raised floral border with a wide, beautifully engraved band of leaves and flowers surrounding a vacant centre and stands on three, scroll bracket feet. This fabulous salver is in great condition with a good weight and is stamped with nice, clear hallmarks on the back. It has a diameter of 26cm, stands 3,5cm high and weighs 650g.
