The Fagor Future Pressure Cooker has an operating valve which features a pressure setting, steam release and an unlock position. For safety reasons the pressure cooker will not build pressure if it has not been pushed closed. The Future Pressure Cooker also has a safety valve that is activated in case of excess pressure build up. In case of high-pressure build up steam will be released through the safety vent in the rim of the lid. The Fagor Future Pressure Cooker includes a stainless steel steamer basket to steam food under pressure without placing the food directly into the cooking liquid.
