Lovely mid-century edition (1946) of 24 classic tales from Andersen, including decorative endpapers, delicate watercolours and pen-and-ink drawings by Jean O'Neill throughout the text. Includes Thumbelina, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Ugly Duckling, The Snow Queen, and The Little Match Girl. Introduction by May Lamberton Becker.

Overall very good used, vintage condition. Purple and grey decorative cloth-over-boards and blue cloth spine with gold gilt, in solidly good condition. No writing, marking or highlighting. Tight binding. Blue topstain. Small stained area to front board and moderate edgewear all around. Interior is completely clean.
