Jean Greenhowe is mostly known for her marvellous toy-knitting patterns these days, and though there are a small number of knitted toys in this book, the vast majority are sewn. None of the patterns seem to require anything more complicated than a very ordinary, basic sewing machine (or hand-sewing if you have the patience and neatness!) to make. The designs run the gamut from pocket-sized to huge, and from something that could probably be completed in a single evening to more extensive and detailed.
