Wonderfully detailed CMC model of the classic and memorable shark-nose 1961 Ferrari - winner of that year's World Championship driven by the American Phil Hill. It also won the Manufacturers Championship.
When the 2.5 litre F1 cars became horrendously dangerous in the late 1950s, the regulations changed to 1.5 litre in an effort to slow down F1.
The English gariste teams were ill-prepared and Ferrari showed up with the powerful V6 Dino Ferrari for the new season and swept all before it. With its shark nose and unusual looks, it immediately became iconic.
This CMC model is almost on par with the Exoto version of the same car and is exquisitely detailed - a very special addition to any collection.
In mint condition and supplied in its original box which sadly has light water damage see photos.
From my private collection.
