Festuca cinerea 'Festina' Seeds - Ornamental Grass Seeds

This fast growing species, native to southern France, is one of the more popular ornamental perennial grasses to grow from seed. Its most appealing aspect is the vivid, blue-green leaves that are arranged in formal tufts. Flowering occurs about 8 months after sowing, but the flowers aren't the real reason you grow this plant. It will grow to 15 cm in height and spread 20 cm. Because of its relatively short stature, it can be used in the front of beds in situations where the soil is well-drained and thrives in hot, dry locations without much attention.
