Bulk dried herb, for headaches, migraines & fever. Relieves indigestion, nausea & vomiting. Aids with inflammation & muscle pain. Promotes liver, pancreas & gall bladder health.

Feverfew is a flowering plant in the daisy family, Asteraceae. The plant grows to a height of 60cm and looks like a cross between a daisy and chamomile. Its leaves and flowers exude a strong, fairly bitter aroma. Feverfew is indigenous to Anatolia in Turkey and has a long history of use as a medicinal herb. It was once planted near homes to ward off disease, and was used in the 17th century as an ingredient in a cosmetic cream to remove freckles. Its name comes from the Latin word febrifugia, meaning "fever reducer." Traditionally, feverfew was used to treat fevers and other inflammatory conditions.

Feverfew gives effective relief from headaches caused by dilation or contraction of blood vessels. It is used for migraines, period pain, fever, asthma and a range of inflammatory conditions, including arthritis and gout. Studies have shown that feverfew is effective on reducing the frequency and severity of migraine attacks. Feverfew has also been successfully applied for rapid and long-lasting relief from pain, especially after an injury or surgery.
