Ficus is a genus of about 850 species of woody trees, shrubs and vines. Collectively known as fig trees or figs, they are native throughout the tropics with a few species extending into the semi-warm temperate zone.

Grows up to a 10m tree with grey smooth bark and ovate heart shaped leaves with velvety brown/purplish figs in spring to summer. Tolerates drought.
