1990. Soft cover; 306 pages. Very good condition. Cover has lost some colour at spine. Small inscription in front. Under 1kg.

This is the first comprehensive field guide to the animal tracks of southern Africa. In the first, introductory section, author Louis Liebenberg explains how to identify and interpret spoor, and how to master the basics of tracking. The second and far larger part contains the field guide proper, and includes sections on the invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals of the sub-continent. In addition to almost a hundred pages of highly accurate illustrations of spoor, drawn from the field, the guide provides detailed entries describing the prominent features of the spoor and general information on the animals - their size, identification, habits, distribution and habitat. Distribution maps are also included.
