Meticulously researched and photographed by the author, each species account features a distribution map, a detailed description of all parts of the tree, its uses, and its application in traditional medicine. Species entries are accompanied by full-colour photographs of the whole tree, its bark, flowers, pods, thorns and leaves allowing the user to easily identify the tree in the field. Seasonal charts showing when the tree is in flower, and when leaves and pods appear are also included. Glossaries of botanical and medicinal terms are also included for clarification of terms used in the book.
