Field Guide to the Birds of East Africa. Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi. By Terry Stevenson and John Fanshawe. Illustrated by Brian Small, John Gale and Norman Arlott. Published by T & A D Poyser, 2002,

Reprint. ISBN 08566110798. Hardcover, no jacket, 604pp.

Condition: Poor.

Light soiling and shelf-rubbing to boards--a few spots of foxing and light scratches. Light bump, rubbing to extremities of spine, with small water stain to the head. Light rubbing to corners, bumped. Front endpapers (map) foxed, stained; rear endpapers (map) foxed, stained, with tear along gutter. Half-title and opposing fly leaf heavily foxed and age-toned. Very light, faint foxing and age-toning on remaining prelims; light creasing on contents page. Intermittent brief annotations in pen and pencil in the margins. Colour plates are clean and bright--no foxing ("printed on acid free paper"). Text complete, no loose or missing pages. The binding holds, but is tender in two places (pp. 172; 603) in the text block, and the latter has separated from the boards at the rear (held by endpapers alone). Pale yellow stain somewhat buckling the top edge of all pages in Index. Final page and recto of rear free endpaper foxed, soiled, and more heavily stained and buckled at the top edge.
