Fiona studied Fine Art at UCT which was followed by several years of teaching and has been an artist since 1975 and is one of South Africas most talented artists. Working mainly in mixed mediums such as pastel and acrylic, she is well known for her nude figures, wardrobe collection and colourful flowers and sees painting as follows: I draw from life experiences and prefer to make suggestions rather than descriptions. Painting is a form of meditation, a state of being, both calm and intense.
