Fisher Price 'Play Family School'

Fisher Price 'Play Family School' playset. Made in the USA, 1971.

 

An absolutely adorable vintage Fisher Price playset!! Excellent condition!! 

 

The set is complete and includes the following: lime green 1-seat student school desk, yellow rectangular teacher's desk with a lithograph on top of an apple, papers, etc., yellow single seat teacher's chair, lime green swing set with 2 yellow swinging seats, yellow and lime green merry-go-round with top spin knob, yellow 2-step slide, 5 'Little People': one Teacher and four pupils.

 

The school is a red building (28,5x31cm) with a masonite base and a fold-down wall on the front that has a metal chalkboard on the inside. The roof is magnetic for the accessory magnetic letters to stick to it. The school building has a clock with red plastic movable hands above the door, and a bell on top of the roof beside the red carry handle. The roof "steeple" has chrome-plated bell. The off-white rectangular hard plastic storage tray has individual slots for each letter A-Z. The second storage tray is divided into three equal size compartments for mass storage of numbers/letters. 

 

This school playset has many delightful little details so I included quite a few photos. It is unbelievable to think that this toy has lasted in such a prestige condition for almost 50 years! The decals are still bright and colourful.
