Five Million Volkswagens 1945 - 1961: SILVER & GOLD Medallions

The large medal was struck in pure silver and weighs 25 grams. The smaller medal was struck in 90% gold and weighs 3.5 grams.

Both medals depicts the portrait of Heinz Heinrich Nordhoff who orchestrated the post-World War II revitalization of Volkswagen, which played a major role in Germany's economic recovery.
