Flat White Boer Pumpkin (10 Seeds)

This was one of the first ever Pumpkins we have grown, and it was such an exciting time.

The Flat White Boer Pampoen (Pumpkin) grows very well during spring, producing medium to large sized, flat and round pumpkins, which can be stacked on top of each other, some weight up to 11-12kg.  Most Pumpkins need at least 90 days to mature.  This variety can be stored from 6 to 12 months in the right storage conditions. Checking the spring-coil like vine at the top of of the pumpkin on the main stem attached to the pumpkin, if it is completely brown and dried, then you can harvest the pumpkin.

It is used for decoration, but as and edible, it is very tasty roasted in the oven, or cooked and mashed up with some butter and salt, like my mother used to make.

Pumpkins are highly nutritious.
