Product Description

¿¿¿Requires Railworks 2 installed to play this game¿¿¿
The most iconic steam locomotive in the world, the Flying Scotsman, takes to the tracks in its long awaited debut for Railworks.

The Flying Scotsman has become a legend of the rail world. Flying Scotsman entered service in 1923 as the figurehead of the Kings Cross to Edinburgh express service, and has since broken numerous records including being the first steam locomotive to top 100mph. Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, this 97 ton A3 class locomotive has hauled express passenger trains for 40 years with an unsurpassed service record. Flying Scotsman has toured the world, breaking more records along the way and over 80 years after entering service is now in the care of the National Railway Museum (NRM) in York, UK. You are invited to take to the footplate of the Flying Scotsman in one of the most detailed locomotive simulations ever made! Exquisitely designed to precise specifications in full 3D, with the support of the NRM, every rivet and panel is reproduced in stunningly accurate detail complete with realistic physics and a comprehensive cab layout.

Light the boiler on the original LNER configuration of this magnificent locomotive complete with dual tender, ride the rails in the BR Brunswick green livery or get up a head of steam with the modern LNER museum restoration.

Also included are authentic BR ¿¿¿blood and custard¿¿¿ coaching stock. You are at the controls as you open the regulator on free roam scenarios between Newcastle to York and London Paddington to Reading. Alternatively, put your footplate skills to the test in a range of challenging activities including driving the farewell service from York to Newcastle, taking a tour to Darlington or battling through driving snow as you ferry steam enthusiasts to London Paddington.
