First Edition. Near fine, as new unused book is wrapped in an unused beige apron, the beige apron with art decoration and the words "Fooding About" at the top. As issued in the gift edition. Only 3000 total copies of this book were ever published, and it is now very rare, especially in this condition. Illustrations were provided by 26 South African artists who observed Topsi at work, including Beezy Bailey and Robert Slingsby among many others. Foreword by Robert Carrier. Pauline "Topsi" Venter ran a famous restaurant in Franschhoek for many years and her inspired and informal approach made her a legend. Large format book with red boards Elephant folio.
