Originally photographed by Studio Levy, the Montparnasse derailment occurred on 22 October, 1895 when the train's driver approached the station too fast causing the train air brake to fail and ending with the train crashing through the station wall. The locomotive fell onto the Place de Rennes below where it stood on its nose. This print is framed in glass and measures 38cm x 30cm with frame, print itself being 28cm x 20cm. Both print and frame in very good condition. Refer images
