1819 East India Co. Mohur!!!!
The enviromental damage on the coin I believe is from being exposed to sea water for a very long time..I do not have a certificate but I believe that this coin could have possibly have come from the shipwreck "FAME".
"Fame" a 629 ton ship, captained by Mr. Clark. It was blown onto the rocks as it was leaving the harbour at Sea Point, Table Bay, on the night of the 14th June 1822
Only some of the Gold mohur coins was recovered in October 1965 from the wreck.
I have seen other gold mohurs being listed on bid or buy for R30 000 and up.
**NGC Graded AU details - Enviromental damage.
Gold value alone is over R5000.
This coin weighs - 11.6 grams and was minted in 22ct gold.
Postage will be R65- with speed couriers.
