Description

Microsoft’s own racing simulation returns for its third instalment, with a staggering amount of new cars and tracks now on offer.

The Gran Turismo series may have once been the king of the racing simulation, but Microsoft’s own Forza Motorsport quickly joined the race for its crown, offering the same attention to detail and huge car line-up. Over 400 of the world’s most beloved sports cars are provided in Forza 3, each rendered fully inside and out to almost photorealistic precision. More than 100 tracks have been provided, each based on some of the most striking locations from across the globe.

Though primarily a simulation, Forza Motorsport 3 offers a selection of driving assistance tools to ensure players looking for an arcade experience can still enjoy racing with more experienced players. A new single player season mode lets players work through a personalised racing calendar with 200 separate events, including Circuit, Drag and Timed events. Online, a game rules editor gives players nearly endless ways to edit and adapt their own championships.

With a solid car line up and huge collection of tracks, Forza Motorsport 3 is one of the strongest racing simulations the Xbox 360 has to offer.
