THIS A BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED, 17CM LONG NEEDLE FISH FOSSIL FROM MOROCCO.
AGE: CRETACEOUS 100 MILLIONYEARS
THE FISH IS PRESERVED IN A DETAILED MANNER AND A LOT OF DETAIL IS PRESENT INCLUDING MANY OF THE TAIL FIN AND BACKBONE.
OUR FOSSIL SPECIMEN LOOKS TO BE MEMBER OF THE BONY FISHES KNOWN AS A NEEDLE FISH DUE TO ITS BODY SHAPE. FISH WERE PREDATORS OF SMALLER FISH. THE GENUS WENT EXTINCT AT THE END OF THE CRETACEOUS, PASSING THE WAY OF THE DINOSAURS.
SIZE: 17CM LONG 6CM WIDE 3CM HIGH
CONDITION: IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. ALSO PART OF MY PERSONAL COLLECTION FOR 20 YEARS. WELL TAKEN CARE OFF.
