Fossil shark tooth Carcharodon Megalodon Great white shark. 10.9cm
This large fossil shark tooth from Carcharodon megalodon species, ancestor of the Great White, which grew several times the size. Measures over 109 mm along the slant. A tooth of many colours, dark steel grey enamel, serration is left, the enamel is in good condition. The root is somewhat eroded (true pathology) this is a normal phenomenon. This is an awesome shark tooth! Root has not been repaired; however, some erosion is visible on the gum and unfortunately a small chunk of the root has broken off on the right side. It is an impressive hand full to say the least. Estimated 10 million years old. Pleistocene to Miocene geologic time.
