Fossil shark tooth Carcharodon Megalodon Great white shark. 106 mm
This large fossil shark tooth from Carcharodon megalodon species,ancestor of the Great White, which grew several times the size. Measures over 10.6 cm along the slant. A tooth of many colours, dark steel grey enamel, there is no some serration left. The root is eroded (true pathology) this is a normal phenomenon. This is an awesome shark tooth! Root has not been repaired; however,some erosion is visible on the gum. The tip is still nice. It is an impressive hand full to say the least. Estimated 10 million years old.
This is a polished megalodon sharks tooth. But 90% of this tooth is natural. It has been Diamond Polished. This Diamond Polishing process puts a mirror finish on the tooth, enabling it to reflect light. The process exposes the inner colours of the tooth. There have been no fillers or colours added to this tooth. To say the least, its spectacular and striking, the shape is still unmistakably awesome, what a tooth. There is a chip on the right side along the blade, no serration is left.
