Fossil shark toothCarcharodon Megalodon Great white shark. 107 mm
This large fossil shark tooth from Carcharodon megalodon species,ancestor of the Great White, which grew several times thesize. Measures over 107.8 mm along the slant. A tooth ofmany colours, dark steel grey enamel, some serration is left, the enamel is in faircondition. The root is eroded (true pathology) this is a normal phenomenon. This is an awesome shark tooth! This is what is called a sidetooth. This is because the tip of the tooth is slightly shewed. It was positioned on the right side of thejaw and not in the front of the jaw, where it would have been straight.
It is uncommon to see this. Anice tooth. Root has not been repaired;however, some erosion is visible on the gum and unfortunately the right-hand roottip is broken off. Also, some small hairline cracks on the enamel, and a smallchip on the left-hand side of the blade, towards the beginning of the gum, whichis affecting the root and the enamel. The tip is still nice. It is an impressive hand full to say theleast. Estimated 10 million years old. Pleistocene to Miocene geologic time. A great addition to any collection. 100 % Guaranteed Authenticfossil shark tooth!
