Fossil shark tooth Carcharodon Megalodon Great white shark. 116 mm = 11.6 cm
This large fossil shark tooth from Carcharodon megalodon species, ancestor of the Great White, which grew several times the size. Measures over 116 mm along the slant. A tooth of many colours, dark steel grey enamel, serration is left, the enamel is in good condition. The root is somewhat eroded (true pathology) near the top and along and in between the two root tips.
The tip of the tooth is intact This is an awesome shark tooth! Root has not been repaired. Just underneath the top left root and a start of the enamel, there is a big chip that has broken away.
But its an impressive hand full to say the least. Estimated 10 million years old. Pleistocene to Miocene geologic time.
