Fossilized or Petrified Wood all natural as it comes from nature, not been tampered with at all,  from Ancient Greek meaning 'rock' or 'stone'; literally 'wood turned into stone'), is the name given to a special type of fossilized wood, the fossilized remains of terrestrial vegetation. This piece is very heavy and measurements are 36 cm in length, +/- 18 cm  and 52 cm all round at the widest side and 20 kg in weight according to my scale. Looking at pictures you will see the rings of the fossilized tree on both ends,  I do apologize for the camera quality since my  camera does not take the best pictures, but I tried from my late husband's collection He worked at Wits University.  years ago.
