in 1932 and is the main reason that Zippo remains one of the most beloved brands
in the world today.
In honor of Founder's Day, this sleek High Polish Black keepsake features a young
George G. Blaisdell posing with a larger-than-life sales model on the front
of the lighter in an elegant Photo Image design. A consummate salesman, these
oversized replicas were one of Mr. Blaisdell's favorite demonstration tools
second only, perhaps, to the Zippo Car, which we celebrate with our
2023 Collectible of the Year!
A later portrait of Mr. Blaisdell appears on
the reverse side, anchored by his signature and
set under a laser-engraved representation of
his real-life seal of approval. The evolution of
Zippo's date code system an invaluable tool for
