Four Militaria Books going back to 1841 (ONLY for Private Pick-Up)
The Western Cape Numismatic Society has recently received a large numismatic library as a donation. Books and publications that are duplicates (already in the WCNS library) or that are not relevant for the society's usage are currently being auctioned off on BoBShop. The funds received, after fees, will be donated to the society. Some of the lots are very heavy, and private pick will be indicated as the only shipping option.
The books are the following:-
- Selections from the Dispatches and General Orders of Field Marshal the Duke of Wellington by J. Gurwood. Published in 1841. Hardcover. The back cover of the book is missing.939 pages.
- Nicknames and Traditions in the (British) Army. Published in 1894. Softcover, 117 pages. Last page and cover not in good condition.
- The History of the Somerset Light Infantry (prince Alberts) 1914-1919 by Everard Wyrall. Hardcover 398 pages. Published in 1927. The back cover of the book is missing.
- The Encyclopedia off Military History by Dupuy and Dupuy. Hardcover. 1464 pages. Published in 1976. Damage to carton cover and dust jacket and also spine.
