If you google 'St Michael Queenhithe', you will see the original painting.

History of St Michael Queenhythe

St Michael Queenhithe was a church in the City of London located what is now Upper Thames Street, first recorded in the 12th century.  The Church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in the year 1666.  The church was rebuilt by the office of Sir Christopher Wren, incorporated some of the old walls between 1676 and 1686 at a cost of 4375 GBP. The church became redundant, and the last service was held in December 1875. It was demolished in 1876 and the proceeds of the sale were used to build St Michaels Church, Camden Town.

On the middle of the print it is printed: " ST MICHAEL, QUEEN HYTHE"

On the left is printed: "Drawn by Tho H. Shepherd PL145".  Shepherd drew this picture from the original painting (see photo in google search).  His original drawing was with ink and coloured in certain areas with chalk pastel.  From this original drawing, prints were made by Jones and company in 1831.  This is one of those prints, an antique piece, 192 years old.

On the right it is printed: 'Engraved by J. Tinkle'

Back of the art

Closer look at the inscription printed which was hidden with the framing by the Mount Board, to keep it visible to the viewer.

I DECIDED NOT TO RE-FRAME THE ART, TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL FRAME AND NOT TO CLOSE THE BACK TO KEEP THE INSCRIPTION ON THE BACK. THE WAY THE PREVIOUS PICTURE FRAMER FRAMED THE PRINT, THAT FRAMER CUT THE MOUNT BOARD TOO SMALL AND THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS HIDDEN FROM THE EYE OF THE VIEWER.  THE PRINT HANGS LOOSE IN THE FRAME AND IS NOT GLUED DOWN.

I opened up the art and found the information hidden at the bottom as you can see in the above photograph that Jones & Company printed the print, it is called the Temple of the muses, Finsbury Square, London, printed in 1831.  This print was sold at the temple of the Muses, as engraved by J Tinkle

History of the Temple of the muses

The founder of the Temple of the Muses was James Lackington (1746 to 1815).  From 1778 to 1798, James Lackington, the bookseller had a shop at No. 2, Finsbury Place, south in the southeast corner of Finsbury Square, London, called "The Temple of the Muses".  The first large book emporium was the pioneer of the remaindering, buying up bulk stock everywhere at a bargain price and selling it cheap.  In 1792, Lackington estimated his profits for the year to be about 5000 pounds.  The shop burned down in 1841.
