I had to restore this painting where some of the art area had dent marks on the board canvas. You will possibly still see it, but only when you really look for the marks.

At the back, it is typed: "Kalkbaai, Kleinbegin se Dahlias" which tells me that J. Stock lived possibly in Kalkbay, Western Cape, South Africa. The art was framed by William Derry, possibly one of the oldest picture framers in Cape Town. I will say that this painting is not dated but easily more than 50 years old.

The painting was signed by the artist J. Stock.

MEASUREMENTS WITH THE FRAME 500 X 480 MM. ART 420 X 396 MM. THE WOODEN FRAME IS 40MM WIDE AND 20MM HIGH. THE ART WILL NOT BE A DISAPPOINTMENT, A GEM OF A PAINTING.
