Five Volumes, 1726, translated from the original French by Madame de Motteville, who was the Queens Regent's chief companion and confidant...an account of the troubles of King Charles I, J. Darey and eight others, bookplate of Hans Sloane, leather binding with ribbed spines and leather title labels, binding is tight although boards show some wear, 105 x 165mm, condition: good.

Anne of Austria was queen consort of France and Navarre, regent (1643-1651) for her son, Louis XIV of France, and a Spanish and Portuguese Infanta (by birth).  Cardinal Mazarin served as France's chief minister during her regency .
