DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	A lovely still - life painting of copper items (a pan, a bowl, a warm water jug and a turkish coffee pot) by South African artist Frank Thompson. It is done on artist's board (treated canvass on hardboard) and is framed. The artist signed this work at bottom right and has not dated it. The painting is framed in a wood / gilt frame with inner frame. It probably dates from the 1980s. The painting is quite large in size and measures 60 x 75 cm and the artwork alone measures 45 x 60 cm. See the 4 images which follow for more detail.
CONDITION	The artwork itself is in is in excellent condition, but there is some damage to the bottom of the frame which can be seen on the third image below.

A really decorative artwork by a very competent artist.

There is some damage to the central part of the bottom section of the frame. The piece of wood missing is about 2.5 cm long and it should be possible to fill this in. In addition to this there are some scratches to the gilt of the frame.
