DESCRIPTION | Beautiful, medium sized and expertly executed - this original portrayal of a male guitarist by the late South African master artist FRANS CLAERHOUT (1919 - 2006). Painted in his typical Flemish expressionist style. The painting is in vertical format. It is framed and painted on artist's laid paper (charcoal drawn with acrylic paint colouring). The whole painting with frame measures 35 cm x 43 cm and the artwork alone measures 21 cm x 29 cm. The frame is of gild overlayed wood with double inner card and the artwork is glass protected. The artist has signed the painting at the bottom. You can see the painting as it is sold in the image above. There are more images and further particulars below. Please have a look at them and ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about. |
CONDITION | The painting itself (artwork) is in excellent condition. The frame is also undamaged and sound. It can be hung as is. |
