INSPIRATION BEHIND THE PAINTING:

I grew up in Cape Town and loved my walks on the beaches, especially at sundown. I was always captivated by the colours in the sky and the reflections on the sometimes still waters.

This painting captures the serene beauty of the calm ocean with the setting sun creating all sorts of magical colours in the clouds. It would transform any dull wall into a space that you can let your eyes rest upon for meditative wonder and contemplation.
