THE GRAVY BOAT SITS SNUGGLY ON THE STAND AND CAN BE TIPPED TO POUR WITHOUT LIFTING THE JUG OFF THE STAND. LOOKS LIKE THERE WAS A BURNER AT THE BOTTOM TO KEEP THE GRAVY WARM. COULD WELL BE AUTHENTIC AND EVEN IF IT IS A MADE UP ITEM, IT IS UNIQUE AND LOOKS FANTASTIC ON A DINNER TABLE. EXCELLENT CONDITION.
