This is a photo of the complete painting. 

The artist used brush strokes and ended the roses off with thick paint which created a three dimensional effect.  The art is oil on blocked canvas and is impressionistic.  On the Internet there is a Maureen Shield artist but this painting is not her style and that Maureen Shields are from the USA. This painting was framed in Cape Town.  I do think this is a South African Artist as I purchased it in Cape Town and it was framed in Cape Town. 

The artist is Maureen Shields and the painting is not dated.  The artist painted an outside garden entrance to a house or cottage covered by a bush of white roses.

In close inspection, the only other thing to mention is the outer off white frame that has some handling marks on it.  Otherwise the art was well kept through the years.  I just love this painting.

The original wooden frame 740 X 540 MM. ART 600 X 400 MM. The art is framed with a off white inner with a inner gold lip.  The outer frame is an off white frame old classic frame.  The width of frame 70 mm x 40 mm high.   THE ART WILL NOT BE A DISAPPOINTMENT, A GEM OF A PAINTING.
