Framed Landscape impressionistic hand painted painting by artist, size of frame 75 X 54cm, Oil on Canvas. Other photos are available.

I am a known Artist (Mike Taljaard) from Cape Town, South Africa and you buy directly from me as the artist saving you money (no sales commission),

I painted this picture from a black and white photo taken more or less 1890. One of many attracted suburbs of Cape Town is Mowbray, within easy reach by either rail or road. The Liesbeeck brook, wandering down from the slopes of the Devil's Peak on it's short journey to the sea, is here crossed by an old stone bridge. Beyond can be seen a stretch of one of the public roads well protected, as many of them are, with trees on either side and is most likely the N2 of today. The majority op these trees were Oaks, Pines and White poplar and many of them were planted by the early Dutch and French settlers. I used my own imagination to paint this beautiful scene in color, playing with oils and the pallet knife. The art is impressionistic with layers of oil paint.

The art is located in South Africa. Postage is free for buyers in South Africa. If you want to make use of a courier company, then the transport is for your own account. If Buyer choose a courier option, no discount will be given because buyer did not choose postage option. If you buy internationally, then we need to email each other re the shipping cost and handling fee. Insurance fees are for the buyer's account (2% of Value of painting) and is advisable.

I have allowed potential buyers to make an offer.  If the offer is accepted, the Postnet courier charges will be for the buyer's account and postage will not be free as advertised in the postage section
