Offered for sale is a fine French Art Deco glass vase by the glass maker Fanus dating to the 1930's. This item is in a dark purple/amethyst coloured glass with hand painted silver gilt detail in a bold abstract pattern of 7 vertically aligned lozenges enclosed by silver ribbons or bands tapering to accentuate the bottle shape of the vase. The base is signed with the hand painted makers mark Fanus . Price comparison with similar items on Ebay approximate 150 euros. Size of the vase : height 27.5 cm width at the widest point of the base 12cm ; width of base 9cm ; width of top aperture 6.10cm.
